Valerie Seabright was born on September 18th, 1933
1945
1945 - Val Moves To Yeovil, Somerset
1949
Aged 16, Val leaves school to become a Nursery Maid to a wealthy family in London
1950
At 17, Val moved to Winscombe to look after children going through difficult times, post the war
1950
Val & Frank meet a Policeman's Ball
1950 - 1952
Frank is called up to do his National Service - a 2yr long distance courting ensues
1953 September 05
Val & Frank get married.
1958 October 25
Val gives birth to her first child - Paul
1961 August 09
Val gives birth to her second son - Mark (Sybs)
1962
Val & Frank buy a piece of land and build their first home, having rented up until now.
1965 - 1975
Val works at The Ministry of Agriculture, Fishery & Food as an Assistant Scientific Officer
1975 - 1979
Val & Frank buy a hotel in Newton Abbott
1975 January - December
Both sons leave home
1979 - 1982
Val & Frank return to Winscombe, buying and renovating an old bungalow
1982 - 1984
Val & Frank buy a fish & chip shop in Brixton, near Plymouth
1984 - 1987
Val & Frank move back up to Cheddar and Val goes back to work at The Ministry Of Agriculture, Fisheries & Food
1987 - 1991
Val & Frank sell up and buy another fish & chip shop in Delabole, North Cornwall
1991 - 1999
Val & Frank move back up to Draycott where Val's love of gardening took off
1999 - 2019
Val & Frank move to their current home in Mayfield Avenue.
2019 March - 2020 April
Val moves into Beachlawns Residential Care Home due to her dementia and lack of mobility
